Welcome to Battlefield Park Elementary, a school known for its tradition of excellence! Battlefield Park has deep roots in the Mechanicsville community of Hanover County. The original portion of the school was completed in 1936 and a majority of community members has either attended Battlefield Park or knows a relative or friend who once attended the school. The BPES community, staff, and student body have become a true "family of learners." Battlefield Park has a student body of approximately 625 students in grades preschool through fifth grade. The school's programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Battlefield Park's staff is committed to maintaining high academic standards for all students in a safe and nurturing environment.
