Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year at Battlefield Park Elementary School. This year promises to be full of educational challenges and rich experiences for all members of our Battlefield Park Elementary School family. With your help, guidance and support we believe that our students will continue to pass all of the Standards of Learning accreditation standards. Battlefield Park Elementary is fortunate to have such a dedicated, skilled and caring staff, which is strongly committed to working with you in our common effort to meet those rigid standards and to provide a positive educational experience for all of our children. A school's success is measured in many ways, but none are more important than the degree of parent involvement in the school. Parents have been and always will be vital to our success. Therefore, we aim to ensure that you are always welcome at Battlefield and that your opinions, comments and suggestions are openly received. The information that we receive from you helps us to assess what we are doing and , in essence, helps us to perform at a higher level. Your input and involvement is strongly encouraged and always welcomed! I hope to see you often at Battlefield Park Elementary School. Welcome to Battlefield Park Elementary School, home of the Battlefield Bobcats. I am excited to serve as your assistant principal. I look forward to making many memories and lasting relationships here at Battlefield. I am a graduate from the State University of New York and received my Master's Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have taught in Hanover County for eleven years in first, second and third grade. I am fortunate to be a part of your learning community and will strive to create a positive environment conducive to all learners. Your children are my priority and I will work diligently to ensure that all children are successful. As your assistant principal, I will strive to uphold the tradition of academic excellence at Battlefield Park Elementary.
